Sarah is a veteran of the entertainment industry. For 11 years she headed Business & Legal Affairs for Universal Music Group, in Canada. She later added Digital Business Development, and was on the forefront of the online and mobile music market from its inception. In her role with the major, Sarah oversaw all artist recording contracts, label distribution deals, performance, licensing and sponsorship agreements for the company. Sarah also spearheaded the company’s tour merchandise division, oversaw the film and television music synchronization department, and acted as general counsel and right hand to the CEO on a host of other matters. Serving as the company’s chief counsel, she led negotiations to establish industry standard songwriter royalty rates for songwriters with the major publishers and their societies.
While in Canada, Sarah also developed television programs including as producer of a nationally broadcast music competition show for a major network in Canada.
In 2011 Sarah moved with her music executive husband to Los Angeles where she currently resides. She accepted a position as Vice President for Sony Pictures Entertainment and was responsible for agreements with artists, labels, songwriters, composers and publishers for the creation of original music in the studio’s feature films and television shows.
Sarah left the studio for her true calling, to represent a score of globally recognized recording artists, celebrities and entertainers in all of their negotiations – including recording agreements, management, endorsements, social media, personal appearances and live performances. She brings a sterling reputation, and a wealth of inside label and studio expertise to help her clients get the best deals in the business.
