Cierra Carter

BIOGRAPHY

Cierra Carter is an attorney at LaPolt Law, P.C. and the firm’s Head of Film and Television.  Cierra advises and negotiates on behalf of A-list and up-and-coming talent, including actors, writers, directors, producers, athletes and influencers.

While at Southwestern Law School, Cierra found her passion for negotiation and entertainment after being selected to Southwestern’s Negotiations Honors Program and Entertainment & The Arts Clinic. Upon graduation, Cierra gained more industry experience working in film at Lionsgate, television production at NBCUniversal and music licensing at Universal Music Group. Prior to joining LaPolt, Cierra was a talent attorney at a boutique talent firm representing creatives in transactional matters for film, television, podcasts, new media and brand endorsements.

As a first-generation attorney, Cierra understands the importance of advocacy and opportunity. In her third year at Southwestern, Cierra founded the Reach Foundation Inc., a nonprofit organization that provides opportunities to and advocates for young children, low-income families, minorities and disadvantaged individuals in her hometown of Baltimore, MD as well as Los Angeles, CA.

In her free time, Cierra roots for the Baltimore Ravens, attends concerts, and gives back to underprivileged communities.
